Svetlogorsk (until 1947 – Rauschen) is a small resort town with a population of about 13,000 people located on the coast of the Baltic Sea, 40 kilometers north-west of Kaliningrad, in the Kaliningrad region.

Khabarovsk – the view from above

Khabarovsk is a city with a population of about 607 thousand people, the administrative center of the Far Eastern Federal District and the Khabarovsk region. It is one of the largest political, educational and cultural centers of the Russian Far East.

Assumption Cathedral in Dmitrov

Dmitrov is a town with a population of about 67 thousand people located in the Moscow region, 65 km north of the center of Moscow. It is one of the oldest towns of the Moscow region founded by Prince Yury Dolgoruky in 1154.

Stolby Nature Sanctuary in Krasnoyarsk

The state nature reserve “Stolby” (“Pillars”) is located on the north-western spurs of the Eastern Sayan and from the north-east adjoins the city of Krasnoyarsk.

Rostov-on-Don – the view from above

Rostov-on-Don, with a population of more than 1.1 million people, is the largest city in the south of Russia. It is unofficially called “the Gates to the Caucasus”, the southern capital of Russia, “Rostov-Papa”, or simply Rostov.
