18 September, 2015  // The countdown to the start of the World Cup 2018 began at the Manege Square in Moscow. The ceremony was held exactly 1,000 days before the beginning of the tournament. It was attended by a number of officials, current and former players. The first ever World Cup in Russia will be held from June 14 to July 15, 2018.

13 September, 2015  // September 12, 2015, Russian cosmonaut Gennady Padalka, 57, returned from his fifth space mission spending a cumulative 879 days in space. This is a new world record. The previous record was set by Russia's Sergei Krikalev (803 days in space).

4 September, 2015  // According to a study published in Nature, most trees in the world grow in Russia, primarily in the forests of Siberia and the Far East. In total, there are about 3 trillion trees in the world, 640 billion grow in Russia. This is almost two times higher than in Canada and Brazil, that are on the second and third places.
