The Dormition (Uspenskiy) Cathedral in Vladimir is an outstanding monument of white-stone architecture of pre-Mongol Russia (the 12th century). Today, it is the cathedral of the Russian Orthodox Church and the National Museum.

Kul Sharif Mosque is standing on the territory of the Kazan Kremlin. It is the main mosque of the Republic of Tatarstan and Kazan.

Orthodox Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ, also known as the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, was built on the place where March 1, 1881, as a result of the assassination, the Emperor Alexander II was mortally wounded.

The church was built by the order of the Emperor Alexander III in 1883-1907 as a monument to the Emperor Alexander II with funds collected throughout Russia. “Sheremetevo Castle” is a unique park and palace complex, located in the village of Yurino in Mari El Republic (about 200 km from Yoshkar-Ola and 650 km from Moscow), an architectural monument of federal importance.

Construction of this huge castle-palace was going about forty years (1874-1915). As a result, you can see a wonderful eclectic mix of Western European and Oriental Gothic, Romanesque and Old Russian architecture.
