Safari Park “Kudykina Gora” in the Lipetsk region

About 12 km from the town of Zadonsk (60 km from Lipetsk), on the banks of the Don River, in the village of Kamenka, there is almost a real ancient Russian fortress. It is located in a safari park “Kudykina Gora.”
This children’s amusement park, located on the territory of 500 hectares, includes, in addition to the fortress, a landscape park, a place for riding on animals, a Scythian burial mound with a wonderful view of the Don River, a lake with a cozy beach, playgrounds for children, a circus, a zoo, a source of mineral water.

The 16th FINA World Championships in Kazan

Yesterday, the 16th FINA World Championships (aquatic sports) was officially opened in Kazan, the capital city of Tatarstan Republic. The World Championships will be held from July 24 to August 16, 2015 (including the 16th FINA World Masters Championships that will be held August 5-16, 2015).
Competitions in six water sports (swimming, open water swimming, diving and high-diving, synchronized swimming and water polo) will be held in three main arenas. This is the first time in history when Russia holds such competitions.

The Russian pavilion at Expo Milano 2015

May 1, the Universal Exhibition Expo Milano 2015 was opened in Milan, Italy. The exhibition runs until October 31. The motto of the expo is “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life.” More than 140 countries participate in the event.
The Russian pavilion, occupying more than 4 thousand square meters, is one of the five most visited pavilions. Since the beginning of the exhibition, it was visited by more than 450 thousand people, who learned not only about the natural riches of Russia, but also tasted the national cuisine and traditional Russian drinks. Open-air museum “Auto – USSR” in Chernousovo

This unique private museum is located in Tula region, in the village of Chernousovo. If you drive on Simferopol highway, it is about 300 km from Moscow.
The museum was founded by Mikhail Krasinets, a former auto mechanic of the USSR national team, in 1994-1995. The collection includes more than 200 cars exhibited in the open air. That’s why most of them, unfortunately, are in a fairly poor condition.

Creating a tourism brand of Russia

In February 2015, the Federal Agency for Tourism announced an open competition for the development of a tourism brand of Russia.
The aim is to develop visual symbols for use in relation to tourism and related services, outdoor advertising, souvenir, printing products, etc. The brand should create a positive, recognizable image of Russia, enhance the competitiveness of the tourism industry of the country.

October 28, 2014, the official emblem of FIFA World Cup 2018 hosted by Russia was revealed.
According to officials, the shape of World Cup 2018 logo takes on the universally recognisable outline of the World Cup Trophy, while the bold use of red, gold, black and blue in the emblem’s colour palette was inspired by centuries-old techniques seen in world-renowned Russian art dating back to the earliest icon paintings.
