Ergaki is a natural park and tourist center of Ergak-Targak-Taiga ridge located in the Western Sayan to the south-east of Abakan city, the capital of Khakassia Republic.
This area is a miracle of nature and a real pearl of Siberia, along with Baikal Lake and Altai. This place is a “dreamland” lost in Sayan mountain range. Nowadays, Ergaki is one of the symbols of Russian nature. Photos by Andrey Grachev

However, there are still places in Russia “enjoying” ringing frost, and they are located in Siberia of course. In particular, you can see how life looks when the temperature is below 30 degrees Celsius in Yakutia. Photos by Alex Cheban

What is most unusual in Siberia and in Yakutia Republic in particular? Maybe it is the frost below minus 50 degrees Celsius, permafrost, diamonds, or cruel northern mosquitoes the size of a fist?
You will be surprised, but there is something even more unusual – the desert! Yes, the real desert in the taiga.
