Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky is a city with a population of about 180,000 people located in the Far East of Russia, the administrative center of Kamchatka region.
This city, founded in 1740, is located in the southeastern part of the Kamchatka Peninsula on the shores of the Avachinskaya Bay of the Pacific Ocean. Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky cityscape is dominated by a pair of active volcanoes. It is the naval base the Russian Pacific Fleet. Photos by Denis Mukimov
