FIFA World Cup Russia 2018 emblem

October 28, 2014, the official emblem of FIFA World Cup 2018 hosted by Russia was revealed.

According to officials, the shape of World Cup 2018 logo takes on the universally recognisable outline of the World Cup Trophy, while the bold use of red, gold, black and blue in the emblem’s colour palette was inspired by centuries-old techniques seen in world-renowned Russian art dating back to the earliest icon paintings.

The beauty of the mountainous Adygea

Adygea is a republic within the Russian Federation, a part of the Southern Federal District. The territory of the republic is entirely surrounded by another region of Russia – Krasnodar krai.

The mountainous part of Adygea is included in the UNESCO list of World Natural Heritage. There are plenty of waterfalls, caves, rocks for climbing, gorges, canyons, rivers, alpine meadows, pine and fir forests.

Two castles of Yoshkar-Ola

Anyone coming to Yoshkar-Ola, the capital of Mari-El Republic, will definitely experience cognitive dissonance. The architecture of the city includes Orthodoxy, Catholicism and Islam; European and Asian motifs; skill and carelessness.

Let’s fly a helicopter over Lake Baikal

Lake Baikal is the deepest lake in the world located in eastern Siberia (on the territory of the Republic of Buryatia and Irkutsk region). It is the largest reservoir of fresh water on our planet.

The Staritskiy Holy Dormition Monastery is an Orthodox Monastery located in the town of Staritsa in Tver region.

Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky is a city with a population of about 180,000 people located in the Far East of Russia, the administrative center of Kamchatka region.

This city, founded in 1740, is located in the southeastern part of the Kamchatka Peninsula on the shores of the Avachinskaya Bay of the Pacific Ocean.
