Kurba is an old Russian village of Yaroslavl oblast situated 20 km southwest of Yaroslavl on the open high place on the right bank of the river Kurbitsy. The main attraction of the village is the Church of Kazan Mother of God Icon.

Priiskoviy is the village of Ordzhonikidze district of Khakassia Republic located in the spur of the Kuznetsk Alatau mountains (1,5-1,6 km altitude).

The village is located to the south-west of the district administrative center – the village Kop’evo, near the border with Kemerovo oblast.

Uzhginskoye village is located in Cherdynsky district of Perm krai. Like a lot of other villages of Russia it was abandoned. Russian penitentiary system is far from being perfect and here is one example. The following colony for criminals located somewhere on the territory of Perm krai was abandoned recently, in 2005, but as you can see the conditions of living there are rather extreme. Wrangel Island is Russian island located in Arctic Ocean between East-Siberian and Chukotskoye Seas (Chukotka autonomous okrug). The island is the part of Wrangel natural reserve and has the status of UNESCO World Heritage from 2004.

Unfortunately like a lot of other territories of Russian Arctic the region was used as Soviet military outpost and here is the result. The photos were captured by Gorshkov Sergey.

The following church built in 1790 is located in the former village of Krokhino (Vologda oblast) flooded in the beginning of 1960th with the construction of Volga-Baltic Canal.

The church was standing on the upland and survived the flooding but was abandoned. And here are the views of the present state of the church by shtish. The last picture is the photo of the church captured in the year of 1910.
