No comments · Posted by Sergei Rzhevsky in Entertainment, Photos, Sports
Olympic Games in Sochi have been very successful for the Russian team – the total number of medals won (33) is a national team record. The same number of gold medals (13), the Russian national team (at that time the Soviet Union team) won only one time in 1976.
Our congratulations to all the athletes with this result! Some photos of the closing ceremony of the Winter Olympics 2014 in Sochi by drugoi

Snow apocalypse in Rostov region

Heavy snowfall hit Rostov region on Tuesday, and it was snowing until Friday. January 30, a state of emergency was imposed in the region.
Transport networks and other infrastructure of the two largest towns in the region – Rostov-on-Don and Taganrog – were paralyzed. As a result, supply of food and other goods became irregular. Rostov-on-Don looks like “Rostov-on-Snow” at the moment.

Scenes from the life of frosty Yakutia
No comments · Posted by Sergei Rzhevsky in Nature, Photos, Regions
European part of Russia is dominated by abnormally warm weather. The temperature often rises above zero degrees; it is raining; snow in many places has almost completely melted. Global warming?
However, there are still places in Russia “enjoying” ringing frost, and they are located in Siberia of course. In particular, you can see how life looks when the temperature is below 30 degrees Celsius in Yakutia. Photos by Alex Cheban
