Karelia Republic located on the Russian northwest on the border with Finland is one of the most beautiful places of Russia and may be called a large national park of the country. The following photos captured by nub1an can be one of the proofs of this statement (all the pictures are clickable).

You can have a flight to Saint-Petersburg and from there have a train (daily) to Petrozavodsk (Karelia Republic capital city).

Hey Deintegro: How can you arrive to these places ? I will be in Petrozavodsk, but i dont know how to arrive there ?

I think you should contact local travel agencies, I am sure they can offer you some tours.
