Novosibirsk Akademgorodok – the scientific center of Siberia

Akademgorodok (literally “the town of academicians”), founded in 1957, is located about 20 kilometers south of the center of Novosibirsk, on the right bank of the Novosibirsk reservoir.
It is one of the most important scientific and educational centers in Russia. On its territory there are dozens of research institutes, the Presidium of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Novosibirsk State University, and a physics and mathematics school. During the construction of Akademgorodok, it was decided to try to preserve the nature of the area. Thanks to this, there are forests on the territory of Akademgorodok, as well as a lot of artificial green spaces.
The main building of the Technopark of the Novosibirsk Akademgorodok, which is engaged in the development and creation of pilot products in high-tech areas: information technology, biomedicine, electronics, and instrument making.
