Tiksi – the sea gate of Yakutia

Tiksi is an urban village with a population of about 4,500 people and one of the main ports in Russian Arctic. It is the northernmost settlement on the territory of Yakutia and the fourth northernmost settlement of the country.

Pskov is a city located in north-west Russia, the capital of the Pskov region. It is one of the oldest cities in Russia, which was first mentioned in the Laurentian Chronicle in 903.
In 1348-1510, this town was the capital of the independent Pskov Republic. In 1510, it was annexed to the Grand Duchy of Moscow. Prior to the beginning of the 18th century, Pskov was one of the largest cities of Russia and Europe, the most important defensive and commercial center of the country. Photos by: Andrei Kireev.

The village of Dubrovitsy, located in the Podolsk district of the Moscow region, about 36 km from the center of Moscow, is famous for its preserved old manor with an amazing church.

Tobolsk Kremlin – the only stone fortress in Siberia

Tobolsk is a city located in the north of the Tyumen region, at the confluence of the Tobol and the Irtysh rivers, one of the most important centers of cultural tourism in Siberia.
It was founded as a center for the development of Siberia in 1587. Until the 18th century, Tobolsk remained a major military, administrative, political, and religious center.

Stolovaya is a flat mountain (3,003 meters) located on the border of the Republic of Ingushetia and the Republic of North Ossetia in the North Caucasus. In Russian the word “stol” means “table”.

Church of the Beheading of John the Baptist in Dyakovo is one of the two survived multi-pillar churches of the 16th century, an outstanding monument of Russian architecture.
The church is situated in the territory of Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve in the Southern Administrative District of Moscow. In the 16th century, the royal residence was located in this area.

The main territory of the museum is situated behind the southern wall of the Ipatiev Monastery. Another exposition area can be found behind the northern wall.
