Ancient monastery of Tver region land

The following monastery called Voznesensky-Orshin is located on the left bank of Volga river in the village of Orsha about 20 km from Tver city.
It is one of the most ancient monasteries of Tver oblast first time mentioned in 1567. The pictures of the monastery were captured by macwrangler (the photos are clickable).

Nikolsky cathedral of Mozhaisk city photos

Mozhaisk is a city located in Moskovskaya oblast, about 110 km to the west of Moscow city.
The following cathedral was built in 1779-1820 on the territory of Mozhaisk city kremlin. The kremlin itself was lost. The cathedral is one of the main attractions of present day Mozhaisk. The photos were captured by vezde-ezdim.

Samara city mansion with elephants photos

The following mansion was constructed in Samara city on the bank of Volga river in 1908-1909 by the local merchant K.P.Golovkin. The whole idea of the project and all the details belong to the merchant himself. Today the place is also known as “The mansion with elephants”. The photos were captured by golema.

Tutaev is a small town with the population of about 40,000 located in Yaroslavl oblast of Russia. The settlement was first time mentioned in the year of 1370. Today the town is the part of famous Golden Ring of Russia and is known as the “Volga River gem”. The photos were captured by Maxim Yashin.
