The beautiful churches of Moscow oblast

The following photos of abandoned and working churches and cathedrals were captured in the small village of Shkin’ and its surroundings located in Moskovskaya oblast of Russia. The pictures were taken by neringa_iris (the photos are clickable).

Thanks for posting all this info & pics. I’ve been obsessed with abandoned structures lately and it’s fascinating. It’s also sad, even though I’ll likely never be in a position to visit them. I would have thought that some of the oligarchs would have rescued them. I know I would (if I was an oligarch).
Though the last pic looks like an operating church, I see a great retirement house or fishing lodge. ;) Is that a good river?
