TAG | Ivanovo oblast

Kineshma is a town (since 1777) with a population of about 77 thousand people, located in the northeastern part of Ivanovo Oblast, about 400 km northeast of Moscow. In 2010, it was included in the list of historical settlements of federal significance.

The town stands on the right bank of the Volga stretching along it for more than 11 kilometers. In Kineshma, both ordinary urban buildings of the 19th century and a number of architectural sights of the 19th – early 20th centuries have been preserved.

Vvedenye is a small village with a population of about 500 people located in the Shuyskiy district of the Ivanovo region, about 10 km north-west of the town of Shuya and 32 km from Ivanovo, the regional capital.

This is one of the most interesting villages of the Ivanovo region with a rich history and a number of temple complexes. The history of the village is directly connected with Nikolo-Shartomskiy monastery founded in the 14th century.

Streets sculptures made by Russian military men

The following strange sculptures are located on the streets of  neighborhood “Krasniye Sosenki” (Red Pines), Teikovo town, Ivanovo oblast, Russia populated mainly by military men.
