No-one seems to like publishing negative comments about Russian flower sites, but here is one, (if you have the independence to publish it). Flowers-to-russia, florist, roses, russianflowershop, all these sites lead to the same webpage, with standard bouquets and flower arrangements. You choose a bouquet, and pay by credit card. Only then are you informed that the flowers in the photograph are not available, and you are told suitable alternative flowers will be substituted. This has happened to me often, so seems to be the new Russian scam. It is always the most expensive flowers that are unavailable, and no reduction in price is offered. So you are left with the choice of accepting, or waiting days/weeks to receive a refund. To be avoided at all costs in my view. Better to use the more expensive sites and get what you order. And ordering via these sites is not cheap anyway, roughly four times what you would pay in a Russian flower market, so you would think the service would be excellent, but in fact it is the opposite. If anyone has had good experiences, I would be happy to know.
