This ruins and their history are quite unknow in Europe, why nobody cares about the prussian and teutonic heritage? This question isn't having nothing to do with german claims (I'm italian) nor political reviosionism (I'm not a nazi) but it is related to love for history and architecture. Russians you must save these architectural tresures! Do it for yourself and for all europeans like you! You will be remembered as rescuers and caretakers certainly not as barbarians. After the collapse of the S.U. in 1990 I took her on a bus tour of Kaliningrad Oblask. When she saw the ruins remaining after 45 years total neglect under the communist regime she burst into tears. One must be fair and say that the new generation of Russians have done much rebuilding and restoration work in Kaliningrad city during the past ten years. But probably you don't know what Nazis did to the royal mansions around St. Petersburg (Leningrad back then) and how much effort it took to revive totally devastated palaces which looked like these pictures. I hate bolsheviks though. Believe me with their ugly urban planning ideas they destroyed not only German but also many Russian cities :\ these pictures really really upset me as well.
